Jerry Parker
Chairmen and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Parker is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chesapeake and Chesapeake Holding Company. Mr. Parker received a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Virginia in January 1980. Mr. Parker started his trading career in 1983 as an exempt commodity trading advisor for Mr. Richard J. Dennis, in his “Turtle” training program. Mr. Parker, a Portfolio Manager, has overseen Chesapeake’s operations and its trading since its inception in February 1988.
Tom Dering
Chief Risk Officer
Tom joined Chesapeake Capital Corp in 2014 and currently serves as the Chief Risk Officer. He has extensive experience, having held various positions at CTA’s, Hedge Funds and Family Offices prior to joining Chesapeake. He received a BS in Accounting from Rutgers University in 1986. Tom brings nearly three decades of leadership to his role as CRO at Chesapeake.
Mckenzie Kadow
Controller
McKenzie Kadow is the Controller at Chesapeake Capital Corporation, where she oversees the company’s financial operations and reporting. She began her career with PwC before joining Chesapeake in 2019. A Certified Public Accountant and graduate of Florida State University with a B.S. in Accounting, McKenzie brings nearly a decade of experience in audit and financial leadership to her role.
Musa Abdul-Basser
Chief Compliance Officer
Musa Abdul-Basser is an experienced capital markets, cross-border transactional and compliance attorney. Musa served as Chief Legal Officer and Global General Counsel at Wahed Inc. and as Chief Legal & Compliance Officer at Wahed Invest LLC (New York, New York), a multinational FinTech company that creates innovative, web-based and digital applications technology for affordable investments focused on ethical investing. He received his J.D., Georgetown University Law Center, 2002, and his B.A., Government (International Relations), Wesleyan University, 1999
Sarah Saadeh
Compliance Officer
Sarah Saadeh is a Compliance Officer and double Bearcat obtaining her JD and B.A. from the University of Cincinnati. Sarah is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional, holding the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) CIPP/US certification.
Todd Gibson
Vice President of Trading
Todd Gibson is a seasoned trader with three decades of experience at Chesapeake, joining the team in 1995. Todd has acted as the lead trader at Chesapeake since 2019. His expertise is in futures trading, with extensive experience trading foreign exchange and securities. Todd’s trading desk experience allows him to assist other departments at Chesapeake, primarily research and back-office.
Will Parker
Vice President of Trading
Will joined Chesapeake Capital Corporation in 2021. He received a BA in Sociology from the University of Colorado in 2009.
